ChatGPT logo to SVG

ChatGPT makes logos as PNG images (usually 1024 or 1536 px wide), which blur when printed large. To get an SVG, upload the PNG to SVGProof: it traces the shapes into smooth vector paths, cleans up the soft edges and stray shades, and lets you remove the background before you download. Can ChatGPT make an SVG itself?

It can write SVG code by hand, but that code is a new, simpler drawing, not your logo: it rarely matches the image you picked. Its image generator only outputs PNG. Tracing the PNG keeps the design you chose.

How do I convert a ChatGPT logo?

  1. Drop the logo on this page (or paste it). PNG, JPG or WEBP up to 5 MB and 17 megapixels (8192 px on a side); larger images are scaled to 4 megapixels first.
  2. Compare the vector with your image in the editor, zoomed in. Remove the background, merge near-duplicate colors or snap them to your brand colors if you need to.
  3. Download the SVG (one credit) and open it in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity, or send it to your printer.

What should I check before I print it?

  • Text: AI renders often have misspelled or half-formed letters. A tracer copies them faithfully; fix the word in an editor or retype it in the real font.
  • Background: ChatGPT often draws a white or off-white square, or a fake checkerboard "transparency". Remove it in the editor so the logo prints on any color.
  • Colors: count them. Screen printing charges per color; merge the near-duplicates.
  • Thin details: lines thinner than about 0.25 mm at the final size can break in print or cutting.

The full list is in the print preflight checklist.

When is SVGProof the wrong tool?

  • A logo you want redrawn in a different style. Tracing keeps the design; a change of design is a job for a designer or a new prompt.
  • Photos and painterly art. They have no clean shapes to find, so we refuse them instead of returning thousands of blobs. A photo needs a different tool or a designer.
  • Embroidery files. A machine needs a digitized stitch file (DST, PES), which is made by a digitizer from a vector like ours, not by any tracer.

Questions

Do I own a logo made with ChatGPT?

That depends on OpenAI's terms and your country's law, not on the file format; converting it to SVG does not change it. Read OpenAI's current terms and, for a trademark, ask a lawyer.

Why does my ChatGPT logo look blurry when printed?

Because it is a fixed grid of pixels. Printed larger than about its pixel width divided by 300, in inches, it softens. A vector has no pixel grid. See can I print a logo made with ChatGPT.

Is it free?

Converting, comparing and editing are free and need no account; a PNG up to 512 px is free too. The SVG and full-size PNG of one logo cost one credit ($10 buys 25).
