MCP server
Let your AI agent convert logos for you. Give it a logo file or link, and it gets back a print-ready SVG and a download link, paid from your SVGProof credits.
Setup
The server is at https://mcp.svgproof.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). It uses your API key: create a live key on your account and put it in the Authorization header. Add it to your agent:
claude mcp add --transport http svgproof https://mcp.svgproof.com/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $SVGPROOF_API_KEY"Any other client that supports remote MCP servers with a header works the same way.
Claude, ChatGPT and other apps: sign in instead of a key
Apps that cannot take a header connect by signing in. Add a custom connector (in Claude: Settings, Connectors; in ChatGPT: Settings, Apps and Connectors) with the URL https://mcp.svgproof.com/mcp. The app sends you to svgproof.com: sign in, check what the app may do, and choose Connect. The connection uses your credits and shows up as a key on your Developer page, where you can disconnect it at any time.
Tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
vectorize | Converts one logo from a public image URL, an upload, or a file attached in ChatGPT. Returns a download link (60 minutes) with the node, path and color counts. 1 credit per new image; the same image with the same options again within 24 hours is free; refused images are free. Options: format (svg, png), background, max_colors, palette, scale and width for PNG. |
upload_logo | Free to call. Shows a card in the chat (Claude, ChatGPT) where you pick a logo file and press Convert; the file goes from your browser straight to SVGProof. 1 credit when the conversion succeeds. |
create_upload | Free. A one-time link for a local file (10 minutes): a coding agent sends the file with curl, then calls vectorize. |
account | Free. Credit balance, free test previews left, this month’s use and the rate limits. |
The options are those of the API: see the parameters.
Images and files
A logo on the web: the assistant passes its URL, and our server downloads it (public addresses only, up to 5 MB).
A file in a chat (Claude, ChatGPT and other apps that show cards): the assistant shows an SVGProof card where you pick the file and press Convert. The file goes from your browser straight to us, not through the assistant, and you see the result with its node count and a Download button. In ChatGPT, a file you attach to the chat can also be passed to us directly.
A file on your computer, with a coding agent (Claude Code, Codex): the agent asks for an upload link, sends the file to it with curl, and converts it. The result comes back as a download link the agent can save next to your file.
> Convert ./brand/logo.png to SVG with SVGProof and save it next to the PNG.
create_upload {"file_name": "logo.png"}
$ curl -sS --fail-with-body -T brand/logo.png 'https://mcp.svgproof.com/u/…'
vectorize {"upload_id": "…"}
Converted. Download (valid 60 min): https://mcp.svgproof.com/r/…/logo.svg
{"nodes": 267, "colors": 3, "credits_charged": 1, "credits_left": 199, …}
$ curl -sS -o brand/logo.svg 'https://mcp.svgproof.com/r/…/logo.svg'Credits
The MCP server is a client of the API, with your key: the same balance as the website and the API, the same charge per image, and the same rate limits. Converting the same image with the same options again within 24 hours is free, and images that are refused (photos, textured art, broken files) cost nothing. A test key only makes free PNG previews (10 per account), as in the API. Ask the agent to run account to see your balance.
Data handling
Images are processed in memory on our servers in Frankfurt and not saved to permanent storage, backups or logs. An upload link holds its file for at most 10 minutes until it is converted, and a result stays in memory for 60 minutes so the download link works. The server keeps no copy of your key. See the privacy policy and, for business use, the data processing agreement.
