Why are Gemini logos harder to vectorize?
JPEG compression stores the image in 8 × 8 pixel blocks and blurs sharp color changes, so every edge gets a faint halo and flat areas get a ripple of off-colors. A simple tracer turns each ripple into its own shape. We treat them as noise: the example on this page is a real Gemini JPEG, traced as it came.
How do I convert a Gemini logo?
- Drop the logo on this page (or paste it). PNG, JPG or WEBP up to 5 MB and 17 megapixels (8192 px on a side); larger images are scaled to 4 megapixels first.
- Compare the vector with your image in the editor, zoomed in. Remove the background, merge near-duplicate colors or snap them to your brand colors if you need to.
- Download the SVG (one credit) and open it in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity, or send it to your printer.
Can I fix the text in a Gemini logo?
Tracing keeps letters as shapes, exactly as drawn, misspellings included. To fix a word, open the SVG in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape, Affinity and replace it with real type.
When is SVGProof the wrong tool?
- Photos and painterly art. They have no clean shapes to find, so we refuse them instead of returning thousands of blobs. A photo needs a different tool or a designer.
- Embroidery files. A machine needs a digitized stitch file (DST, PES), which is made by a digitizer from a vector like ours, not by any tracer.
Questions
Should I save the image as PNG first?
No gain: saving a JPEG as PNG keeps the artifacts. Upload the original file Gemini gave you.
Is it free?
Converting, comparing and editing are free and need no account; a PNG up to 512 px is free too. The SVG and full-size PNG of one logo cost one credit ($10 buys 25).
